Congratulations to Arctic Figure Skating Club's National Medalists!

We celebrate our US Figure Skating Senior Ice Dance Silver Medalists, Meryl Davis and Charlie White.

AND Brooke Castile and Ben Okolski brought home the Bronze in Senior Pairs.

The Arctic Figure Skating Club was founded in 2002 and calls the Arctic Edge Arena in Canton, Mi, its home. Our club, coaches and skaters are all members of United States Figure Skating, the national governing body for figure skaters of all levels.

Our coaches are all members of the PSA. Their professional and personal accomplishments contribute to their great success in training young skaters to become champions at the rink...and in life

Our dedicated staff of coaches offers training in all levels of figure skating including basic skills, moves in the field, freestyle, pairs and dance.

AFSC also provides a wide range of off-ice training including ballet, yoga and strength training. We hold regular test sessions for movies, freestyle and dance.

Velocity Sports Performance, located in the Arctic Edge Arena, is a great resource for our skaters and staff.

We are very proud of our members who have represented our club at Jr. and Sr. Nationals as well as ISU Worlds competitions.

Meryl Davis & Charlie White are the US Figure Skating 2008 Silver Ice Dance Medalists.

We are also proud to congratulate our 2008 US National Pairs Bronze Medalists - Brooke Castile and Ben Okolski.

Arctic Figure Skating Club 2nd Annual Banquet

On August 20th, the AFSC held its 2nd Annual Banquet at Laurel Manor in Livonia. Trophies for the Natalie Salazar Memorial Sportsmanship Awards were presented to Madison DeLuca and Stephanie Cox. Congratulations to both skaters who have won this award 2 years in a row!

Scholarship Recognition was made to AFSC skaters in grade 6 and above who earned at least a 3.0 grade point average. These skaters are Molly Flynn, Sammie Scorzo, Angie Kerchaert, Victoria Massey, Sam Hill, Delaney Hoberecht, Mallory DeLuca, Madison DeLuca, Tim Taylor, Jillian Kastely, Angela Keller, Jeffrey Fishman, Mary Blair and Erica Ransford, our 2008 High School Graduate. Well done!

The evening was topped off with a video review of the AFSC skaters in action and tons of fun with our DJ getting everyone onto the dance floor!
